...FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR MAUI COUNTY AND THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

.A low pressure system approaching the islands from the northwest will bring the threat of slow-moving bands of showers, with embedded heavy rain.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON... The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Kahoolawe.

* Through Thursday afternoon

* A band of heavy showers over Molokai will move east slowly, likely bringing flooding rains to Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Kahoolawe through Thursday afternoon.
Description:

A Flash Flood Watch means heavy rain leading to flash flooding is possible.

Warning Instruction:
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Monitor forecasts and be prepared to move to higher ground if heavy rain occurs or a Flash Flood Warning is issued.

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
